RED SOX ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES 

BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today announced the following roster moves:

Slaten, 27, owns a 3.47 ERA (9 ER/23.1 IP) with 16 strikeouts, a 0.90 WHIP, and a .171 opponent AVG over 24 outings this season. Originally selected by the Texas Rangers in the third round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, the Texas native has posted a 3.09 ERA (27 ER/78.2 IP) with 74 strikeouts and a 0.98 WHIP in 68 career games, all with the Red Sox (2024-25).

Guerrero, 24, has pitched in four games for Boston this season, allowing one run in 5.1 innings with four strikeouts. The right-hander has also made 15 appearances for Worcester, recording a 4.43 ERA (10 ER/20.1 IP). Selected by the Red Sox in the 17th round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft, the Dominican Republic native owns a 0.59 ERA (1 ER/15.1 IP) over 13 career Major League outings, all with the Red Sox (2024-25).

Eaton, 28, has played 53 games for Worcester this season, batting .277 (54-for-195) with 16 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 27 RBI, 24 walks, and an .810 OPS. The right-handed hitter has made 20 starts at third base, 18 at center field, 10 at right field, two as the designated hitter, and one each at second base, shortstop, and left field. Originally selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 21st round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft, the Virginia native has played 72 career Major League games, batting .201 (32-for-159) with one home run and 13 RBI, all for the Royals (2022-23).

Sogard, 27, has played 14 games for Boston this season, hitting .245 (12-for-49) with eight runs scored, three doubles, and two RBI, while making 11 starts at first base and one at third base. The switch-hitter has also hit .188 (19-for-101) with 10 RBI in 28 games for Worcester. Originally selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 12th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, the California native has hit .262 (33-for-126) with 21 runs scored, seven doubles, and 10 RBI in 45 career Major League games, all for the Red Sox (2024-25).

Sabol, 27, has played eight games for Boston, starting four at catcher and going 2-for-16 with a double and an RBI. The left-handed hitter has also played 25 games for Worcester this season, batting .193 (17-for-88) with four doubles, three home runs, and 13 RBI. Originally selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the seventh round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, the California native has played in 129 career games with the San Francisco Giants (2023-24) and Red Sox (2025), batting .237 (85-for-358) with 13 home runs and 46 RBI.
