Pirates return home to PNC Park for the third homestand of 2025
The Pittsburgh Pirates are back at PNC Park to begin a six-game homestand starting with a three-game weekday series beginning Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs, directly followed by a three-game weekend series as the team hosts the San Diego Padres beginning Friday.
Highlights for this homestand include 80’s Night with a free t-shirt giveaway inspired by Andy Warhol’s Pop Art style on Saturday, May 3, and WWE Night on Saturday, May 10, where the first 20,000 fans will receive an exclusive WWE x Pirates item. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 – Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs (6:40 p.m.)
- Pup Night: Bring your four-legged friends along for a good time as you cheer on your Buccos at the best ballpark in America! This season, Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be donating $1 for every Tito’s cocktail sold in the ballpark during Pup Nights to Animal Friends, up to $15,000. Friday, May 2, 2025 – Pirates vs. San Diego Padres (6:40 p.m.)
- Miller Lite Pregame Happy Hour: Fans 21 and older are invited to start the night at the Miller Lite Landing Bar for drink specials, photo ops and more from the time the gates open (5:00 p.m. general public) to first pitch.
- Mental Health Action Night: Tonight, the Pirates will celebrate “Mental Health Action Night” to highlight Pirates Charities and AHN-run program Chill Mobile, which has provided basic mental health education to more than 12,000 students and 1,000 educators throughout the Pittsburgh region and promote various mental health nonprofit groups doing lifesaving work in our community through a resource fair on the Highmark Riverwalk throughout the game. This night is part of the Pirates efforts to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and normalize the conversation around “It’s ok not to be ok.”
Saturday, May 3, 2025 – Pirates vs. San Diego Padres (4:05 p.m.)
- 80’s Night: Enjoy a festive theme throughout the ballpark celebrating the 80’s era including 80’s themed music, appearances by the Steel City Ghostbusters, and an opportunity to collect a special 80’s themed pin at the Pin Wall located in the Highmark Riverwalk.
- Free T-Shirt Giveaway: As part of 80’s Night, the first 20,000 fans take home an 80s-themed Pirates t-shirt, inspired by Andy Warhol’s Pop Art style.
Sunday, May 4, 2025 – Pirates vs. San Diego Padres (1:35 p.m.)
- Youth Baseball & Softball Day: Celebrate the talents of youth athletes across Western PA during Youth Baseball & Softball Days at PNC Park. Wear your team jersey and take part in the festivities at the game. The first 1,000 youth baseball and softball players who sign up get to participate in a pregame warning track salute. - Star Wars Day: Join us in a galaxy far, far away for a Star Wars Theme Day. Star Wars characters will be on site for Meet and Greets throughout the game on the Highmark Riverwalk and Steel City LUG will share a special Star Wars-themed Lego display. Additionally, local artist Cody Sabol will be on site with live Star Wars-themed artwork.
