Phillies finalize 2025 Opening Day roster
The Phillies have finalized their Opening Day roster for the 2025 regular season. The 26-man roster includes 13 pitchers (five left-handers and eight right-handers), two catchers, six infielders, four outfielders and one designated hitter.
Pitchers (13): Left-handers – José Alvarado, Tanner Banks, Jesús Luzardo, Cristopher Sánchez and Matt Strahm. Right-handers – Carlos Hernández, Orion Kerkering, Aaron Nola, Jordan Romano, Joe Ross, José Ruiz, Taijuan Walker and Zack Wheeler.
Catchers (2): Rafael Marchán and J.T. Realmuto.
Infielders (6): Alec Bohm, Kody Clemens, Bryce Harper, Edmundo Sosa, Bryson Stott and Trea Turner.
Outfielders (4): Nick Castellanos, Max Kepler, Brandon Marsh and Johan Rojas.
Designated Hitter (1): Kyle Schwarber.
The Phillies also placed left-handed pitcher Ranger Suárez (low back stiffness) on the 15-day injured list and infielder/outfielder Weston Wilson (left oblique strain) on the 10-day injured list, both retroactive to March 24.
Additionally, infielder Buddy Kennedy was designated for assignment.
