Nemours Children’s Health to host Phillies Pep Rally on Wednesday to celebrate Phillies partnership and start of MLB season

What: It’s time to get ready for baseball! Nemours Children’s Health will host a pep rally to celebrate their partnership with the Philadelphia Phillies, one day before the season officially begins.

In September, Jones was hit by a car while riding his bike and suffered fractures to his leg, both hands, clavicle, and skull as well as trauma to his leg and chest. After surgery and numerous physical therapy sessions, he has complete range of motion and will celebrate by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. Two of Jones’ clinicians at Nemours will join him at the pep rally, Dr. Duane Duke (Trauma surgeon) and Dr. Arianna Trionfo (Orthopedic surgeon).

The Phillies season begins on Thursday, March 27, with the club’s Opening Day presented by Nemours Children's Health on Monday, March 31, at Citizens Bank Park.
