Brewers Sign Shortstop Brady Ebel

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to terms with Corona High School (CA) shortstop Brady Ebel, the No. 32 overall selection (first round compensation) in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft. The signing was announced by Vice President of Amateur Acquisition Tod Johnson.

Ebel, who will turn 18 on July 25, batted .341/.504/.481 (31-for-91) with 7 doubles, 2 HR, 17 RBI and 27 runs in 31 games for Corona High School (CA) in 2025.

He was one of three players from Corona High School selected within the first 32 picks of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft, joining right-handed pitcher Seth Hernandez (No. 6 overall to Pittsburgh) and shortstop Billy Carlson (No. 10 overall to Chicago-AL). They became the first trio of prep teammates to ever be selected in the first round of the same draft. In two seasons at Corona, Ebel helped his team to a 58-6 record.

Ebel, who is the son of Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel, will take batting practice with the Brewers prior to tonight’s game against Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium.

Prior to signing with Milwaukee, Ebel was committed to national champion Louisiana State University.
