Leo De Vries (Athletics) continued to flash his power at Double-A, but it was another Double-A newcomer who stole the show. Zyhir Hope (Dodgers) broke out in a big way, adding his name to other top prospects Bryce Eldridge (Giants), Jett Williams (Mets) and Tre' Morgan (Rays), who all found the seats. On the mound, Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz (Yankees) shoved his way to the top of the K leaderboard and Liam Doyle (Cardinals) looked up to the challenge in his Double-A debut.
Zyhir Hope, OF, Tulsa (LAD No. 2/MLB No. 19)
It took five games, but Hope appears to be settling into Double-A just fine. Two days after recording his first knock for Double-A Tulsa, the 20-year-old put together a three-hit effort and tied his season high with four RBIs. Hope also stole a base, bringing his total to 27 for the year. Saturday also marked Hope's 126th game , a significant boost from his injury-riddled 61-game campaign in 2024. Gameday

Leo De Vries, SS, Midland (ATH No. 1/MLB No. 3)
De Vries wasted no time picking up where he left off Friday night, going yard in his first at-bat on for his third homer in 24 hours. It was the fourth dinger in his past five games and fifth for Double-A Midland. The 18-year-old also doubled twice for his second consecutive three-hit game, giving him eight knocks over his past three contests -- seven for extra bases -- plus nine RBIs. De Vries has amassed six multihit efforts in nine games this month. Gameday

Bryce Eldridge, 1B, Sacramento (SF No. 1/MLB No. 13)
Not only is everything clicking for Eldridge offensively of late, the 6-foot-7, 240-pounder has put his 70-grade power on the full display in the process. The 20-year-old muscled his 25th home run of the season, and 18th for Triple-A Sacramento. The knock gave the Eldridge at least one hit in nine of his past 11 games -- including six in a row. The 6-foot-7 slugger is slashing .260/.331/.512 with 46 extra-base hits in 101 games across three Minor League levels this season. Gameday

Liam Doyle, LHP, Springfield (STL No. 2/MLB No. 33)
Being on the fast track may be an understatement for Doyle -- this year's fifth overall Draft pick by the Cardinals. After making his first pro appearance at Single-A last week with Palm Beach, the Tennessee product made his Double-A debut for Springfield and twirled two scoreless frames -- working around a pair of hits without issuing a walk and fanning three. The 21-year-old threw 20 of his 30 pitches for strikes and retired the first four batters he faced before working into and out of trouble in his final frame. Gameday

Jett Williams, SS/OF/2B, Syracuse (NYM No. 2/MLB No. 29)
Williams has four hits over his past five games with Syracuse, but none of them were harder than the charge he put into the ball for his 15th homer of the year and fifth for Triple-A Syracuse. The 21-year-old crushed an 0-2 splitter up in the zone 107.1 mph to left-center, his second dinger in five games and third this month. Williams reached base three times, working a pair of walks to bring his total to 73 this season. Gameday

Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz, RHP, Somerset (NYY No. 5)
There is a new K leader in the Minors! Rodriguez-Cruz racked up seven punchouts to bring his total on the season to 173 -- five more than teammate Carlos Lagrange (NYY No. 2/MLB No. 78). The right-hander has notched at least seven punchouts in eight of his 11 starts since joining Double-A Somerset -- including seven of his past eight appearances. Rodriguez-Cruz owns a 2.42 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP and is limiting batters to a .184 average in 145 innings across two Minor League levels this season. Gameday

Tre' Morgan, 1B/OF, Durham (TB No. 7)
Is anyone swinging a hotter bat than Morgan right now? Coming off arguably his best performance of the year on Friday night that included three hits and a walk-off homer, the LSU product collected a hit in each of Durham's contests across a doubleheader on Saturday -- including another roundtripper in the opener, giving him long balls in consecutive contests. Morgan is slashing .297/.372/.541 with five walks, 11 RBIs and seven runs scored in September. Gameday (1), Gameday (2)
