On a night in which two Top 100 prospects made noise on the mound, a 24-year-old backstop in the High-A Midwest League might have stolen the spotlight by connecting on not one but a pair of grand slams. There was no shortage of action around the Minors, including a teenager notching the first multihomer game of his career and last year's No. 1 overall Draft pick finding his swing:
Andrew Painter, RHP, Lehigh Valley (PHI No. 1/MLB No. 5)
Baseball's top-ranked pitching prospect made his much-anticipated Triple-A debut and did not disappoint. Painter breezed through two innings, striking out four before getting in and out of trouble in the third frame. The 22-year-old fanned five, allowing one hit and three walks while tossing 60 pitches (34 for strikes) over three innings. Full story | Gameday

The No. 1 pick in the 2024 Draft is beginning to warm up with the weather at the plate. Bazzana doubled as part of a three-hit night and scored three runs while extending his hitting streak to six games. The 22-year-old has hit safely in nine of his last 10 contests and is slashing .310/.333/.517 with four extra-base hits and three stolen bases this month. Gameday

Chase Burns, RHP, Chattanooga (CIN No. 1/MLB No. 22)
Burns continues to look strong for Double-A Chattanooga, and he matched the professional high of eight strikeouts he established in his last start. The Wake Forest product allowed a solo homer and another unearned run, but largely overmatched opposing batters. Burns threw 50 of 74 pitches for strikes and retired six of seven to end his outing. The 22-year-old has a 1.93 ERA and a 21-to-2 K/BB ratio across 14 innings (three starts) for the Lookouts. Gameday

Ben Hess, RHP, Hudson Valley (NYY No. 3)
New York's first-round pick last year has been impressive in his first go-around with High-A Hudson Valley. Hess took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and retired 17 consecutive batters between the first and sixth. He lost the no-no bid on an infield single that deflected off him, but quickly induced a double play to end his evening after a professional-high 6 2/3 innings. Hess matched his season best with nine strikeouts and is averaging 14.04 K/9 to go along with a 3.24 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP. Gameday

Ryan Ignoffo, C, Beloit (Unranked)
The 24-year-old Marlins catching prospect did something in one game many players would be lucky to have done just once. Ignoffo hit grand slams in consecutive at-bats late in the game for High-A Beloit, accounting for all of his career-high eight RBIs. The Eastern Illinois product, who entered the game with one RBI in his previous six games, became the seventh Minor Leaguer since 2015 to hit a pair of salamis in one game. Full story | Gameday

The 19-year-old collected his first multihomer game, singled and walked from atop Single-A Rancho Cucamonga's lineup. On the strength of a hitting streak that dates back to the final two games in April, Quintero has increased his average to .295 and his OPS to .966 with a team-high six roundtrippers. Gameday

Ralphy Velazquez, 1B, Lake County (CLE No. 5)
It's been a tough start to the season for Velazquez, who opened the year at High-A as a 19-year-old after finishing 2024 with the Captains. But the 23rd overall pick in 2023 flashed that first-round potential, establishing career highs with three extra-base hits and five RBIs. Velazquez drove in three runs on a pair of doubles and collected his final two RBIs on his first triple of the year. Gameday
