The weekend kicked off with a bang, led by baseball's top overall prospect Roman Anthony, who reached base five times. Fellow Top 100 denizens Matt Shaw, Bryce Eldridge, Aidan Miller and Cole Young all produced huge offensive performances, while a Rockies prospect rapped out five hits in a wild extra-inning affair at Triple-A.

Roman Anthony, OF, Worcester (BOS No. 1/MLB No. 1)
Baseball's top-ranked prospect continues to play the part as he marches closer toward a debut in Beantown. Anthony reached base five times on two singles and a trio of walks and scored three runs for Triple-A Worcester. The 21-year-old has been a consistent force since the season began but has kicked it into another gear in May, batting .346 with an .866 OPS, while reaching base safely in 14 consecutive games. Matt Shaw, INF, Iowa (CHC No. 1/MLB No. 18)
Shaw is dialed in and supplying the power out of the leadoff spot for Triple-A Iowa. One day after leading off the home first with a jack and then ending it with a homer in extra innings, the 23-year-old was back for more. Shaw once again kicked off the I-Cubs' scoring with a leadoff jack and added a second roundtripper, giving him consecutive multihomer games and five in his past 18 at-bats. The hot stretch has lifted Shaw's slash line to .302/.423/.593 in 23 games since he returned to Triple-A. Gameday

Bryce Eldridge, 1B, Richmond (SF No. 1/MLB No. 21)
San Francisco's giant slugger lived up to his reputation once again, hitting a pair of homers, a double and driving in a season-high four runs. Eldridge, who had three two-homer games last season, has left the yard in consecutive games for the first time this year, and after a delayed and uneven start to 2025, is batting .306 with a .966 OPS, 10 extra-base hits and 14 RBIs in 20 games for Double-A Richmond. Aidan Miller, SS, Reading (PHI No. 2/MLB No. 25)
Miller appears to have found some consistency over the past week after getting off to a slow start for Double-A Reading. The 27th overall pick in the 2023 Draft enjoyed a perfect night at the plate, highlighted by his fourth homer of the year and a double. Miller, who also walked, was hit by a pitch and swiped his 12th base in 13 chances, has hit safely in seven of his past nine games. Gameday

Cole Young, 2B/SS, Tacoma (MLB No. 3/MLB No. 43)
Young's May resurgence continued with a second consecutive multihit game amid a bid for the cycle. The Pittsburgh native entered the month batting just .190 but has raised his average 58 points on the strength of a .357/.438/.732 slash line across 14 games in May. Young, who matched a career high with four RBIs, homered for a second straight game and fell a single shy of completing the cycle. Gameday

Michael Arroyo, 2B/SS (SEA No. 7/MLB No. 83)
Arroyo put the exclamation point on a big game with a go-ahead homer in the ninth inning, his third hit of the afternoon for High-A Everett. The 20-year-old has heated up noticeably in May after hitting below .200 in the first month. Arroyo has hit safely in 10 of 12 games this month, good for a .375/.508/.646 slash line in 48 at-bats. Culpepper exploded for his first multihomer game, along with four RBIs during his second four-hit performance of the month for High-A Cedar Rapids. The Kansas State product has been held without a hit in just four of 25 games this season while slashing .304/.398/.490 with 10 extra-base hits, 21 runs scored and 16 RBIs. Gameday
