A few Top 100 prospects reached the fences, but there were just as many notable pitching performances across the Minor Leagues on Thursday night. Max Clark (Tigers), Ryan Waldschmidt (D-backs) and Jhostynxon Garcia (Red Sox) all went deep while Tyson Lewis (Reds) walloped the first salami of his pro career. On the other side of the ball, JR Ritchie (Braves) impressed at the highest level of the Minors while 17-year-old Kendry Chourio (Royals) was just perfect at Single-A.

Ryan Waldschmidt, OF, Amarillo (AZ No. 2/MLB No. 69)
Waldschmidt's strong August continued with his first multihomer game as a pro to highlight a three-hit, four-RBI night. The Florida native and Kentucky product went deep in the fourth and eighth innings for the Double-A Sod Poodles, snapping a drought that stretched back to June 27. Waldschmidt has left the yard 12 times -- three for Amarillo -- and sports an .832 OPS in 108 games across two Minor League levels this season. Gameday

Cincinnati's second-round pick in 2024 began his pro career this season in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League, slashing .340/.396/.532 with 35 RBIs in 46 games. Lewis has continued to be a solid run producer for Single-A Daytona, driving in 12 runs on eight extra-base hits in 18 Florida State League contests. Gameday

JR Ritchie, RHP, Gwinnett (ATL No. 2)
Ritchie was phenomenal during his fifth and easily his best start for Triple-A Gwinnett. The 22-year-old tossed six scoreless innings and struck out six. Ritchie, who allowed a pair of singles, retired 13 of the final 14 batters he faced during his 92-pitch outing. The Seattle native enjoyed a very strong 2024 campaign but has been even better this season, posting a 2.58 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP and a .173 average-against in 20 starts across three Minor League levels. Kendry Chourio, RHP, Columbia (KC No. 8)
Making his third start for Single-A Columbia, Chourio flashed the dominant potential that enticed Kansas City to sign him out of Venezuela in January. The right-hander twirled five perfect frames and struck out four on 56 pitches, basically a reversal of his previous outing in which he surrendered six runs over 3 2/3 innings. Including his time in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League, Chourio sports a 3.05 ERA and a 50/2 K/BB ratio in 41 1/3 innings during his debut campaign. Gameday
