Tigers-Rox postponed; DH scheduled for Thursday

DENVER -- The series opener between the Tigers and Rockies at Coors Field, originally scheduled for 6:40 p.m. MT/8:40 p.m. ET on Tuesday, has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader on Thursday, approximately 30 minutes following the end of the regularly scheduled game between the clubs at 1:10 p.m. MT/3:10 p.m. ET.

The probable starting pitchers for the series after Tuesday’s rainout are as follows:

Wednesday: RHP Jackson Jobe (Tigers) vs. RHP Chase Dollander (Rockies)
Thursday, Game 1: RHP Casey Mize vs. LHP Kyle Freeland
Thursday, Game 2: TBD vs. TBD

Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal, who was originally in line to pitch on Thursday, will have his next start pushed to the upcoming homestand when the club returns to Detroit.

Only tickets for the original May 8, 1:10 p.m. game will be valid for Thursday’s doubleheader. The same ticket will be good for either or both games in the same designated seat location. Fans will not be required to exit the ballpark between the games.

Tickets for Tuesday’s game which were purchased directly from the Rockies will either be credited to the original account or refunded to the credit card from which they were purchased. These ticket holders will be contacted via email with additional details.

Complimentary tickets have a value of zero dollars and therefore may not be refunded or exchanged. Discounted tickets are only valid for the amount paid to the Rockies and are subject to any constraints applicable to the original sale.

Fans with tickets purchased via SeatGeek or other secondary markets for Tuesday’s game should contact the customer service department from which the purchase was made for additional information.

Parking lots at Coors Field on Thursday will open at 10:30 a.m. with gates A and E opening at 11 a.m. and Gates B, C and D opening at 11:30 a.m.
