The checkered flag fell upon the first MLB Speedway Classic on Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee.

At the finish line, the Braves prevailed, 4-2, over the Reds behind a pair of home runs from outfielder Eli White and some impressive defense.

Here’s a look at the best moments from the first Major League game of its kind.

White makes dinger history -- TWICE!

White experienced the thrill of becoming the first player to homer at a NASCAR track. Five innings later, he became the first to have a two-homer game at a racetrack.

White completed his second career two-homer game with a seventh inning leadoff shot against Reds reliever Scott Barlow. The Braves right fielder also hit a no-doubt three-run homer off Reds reliever Brent Suter in the second inning. The ball traveled a projected 411 feet per Statcast.

White is serving as the Braves right fielder while Ronald Acuña Jr. recovers from a lower right calf strain he suffered on Tuesday. This will stand as one of the most memorable games of the 31-year-old outfielder’s career.

"I kind of blacked out, honestly, running around the bases," White told Tom Verducci on the FOX broadcast after his first home run. "The bullpen was getting on me when I went out there to right [field] because I didn't acknowledge them. But that was a super cool experience, just to be able to come through for the team there."

Defensive play of the game

Austin Riley's exit with lower abdominal pain led Luke Williams to enter as the Braves' third baseman in the third inning. In the eighth inning, the backup infielder made what might have been a game-saving play.

With the bases loaded and two outs, Williams dove to his left, grabbed Ke’Bryan Hayes’ hot shot and rose to his knees to make a throw that just beat Tyler Stephenson to the second base bag. An enthused Williams raced to the dugout where he got a lot of attaboys from his teammates.

De La Cruz turns two

In the top of the eighth, All-Star shortstop Elly De La Cruz made a slick play to get the Reds out of the inning. With Drake Baldwin on first base with a leadoff single against reliever Lyon Richardson, Michael Harris II hit a one-out liner to the middle on the infield. De La Cruz stopped the ball from his knees on a short hop into the dirt and touched second base for the force play on Baldwin, who dove back to first base thinking it was caught on the fly. De La Cruz threw to first base for the inning-ending double play.

Redzilla takes its laps

A popular in-game entertainment from Great American Ball Park was brought south to Bristol Motor Speedway. In the middle of the third inning, Redzilla took to the track and sped around for a lap doing its normal task of shooting toy balls out into the seats for fans, albeit in an unusual location. Although its top speed was far less than the vehicles that usually motor around the half-mile oval.

Fans that didn't score a ball in the third inning got another crack after the seventh inning, when Redzilla took a special bonus lap.

Reds strike first before delay

Before play was halted in the bottom of the first on Saturday, Cincinnati got on the board first thanks to three consecutive one-out singles from Matt McLain, De La Cruz and Austin Hays to make it 1-0.
