Jac Caglianone has been electric throughout his young pro career, and his home runs seem to defy the laws of nature. It’s only fitting then that the Royals' top prospect has rumbled into Triple-A with the Omaha Storm Chasers and in a flash, has strung together a three-game home run streak.

Caglianone’s most recent homer, which came in a 14-11 loss to Salt Lake at The Ballpark at America First Square, bolted over the outfield berm. It served as the slugger’s eye-popping 50th RBI of the season, which leads the Minors. As he nears the end of his first series at Triple-A, MLB’s No. 10 prospect has a hit in each of his first five games, punctuated by those three home runs.

While the displays of 70-grade power are new to the International League, they became mere blips on the radar at Caglianone’s previous stops. While serving double duty as a pitcher and a hitter at the University of Florida, the 6-foot-5 lefty set a school home run record (75) while leading the Gators to two Men’s College World Series appearances. He hit two homers in his brief stint with High-A Quad Cities last year after being selected sixth overall in the draft, including a grand slam for his first pro roundtripper.

Starting 2025 at Double-A, Caglianone continued to be a force of nature, hitting nine home runs in 38 games. In an otherworldly show of strength, one homer landed on the roof of a nearby building. At the time of his promotion to Omaha, he was slashing .322/.394/.553.

The date of arrival for Caglianone homers in The Show remains up in the air. But in the meantime, it’s safe to say there are plenty more on the horizon for Omaha.
