The big moment is merely a month away. On July 13, Nationals brass will call in the No. 1 pick and kick off the 2025 Draft.

The best glimpse into this year’s talent pool is the MLB Draft Combine. Being held at Chase Field in Phoenix for the third consecutive year, the Combine will feature 322 Draft-eligible prospects and span from June 17-21.

Among that group are 174 prospects ranked in MLB Pipeline’s Top 200 Draft Prospects list, 89 of the top 100, 41 of the top 50, 14 of the top 20 and six of the top 10.

The group also includes 37 athletes who have been a part of Major League Baseball’s developmental programming including the DREAM Series, Breakthrough Series, Hank Aaron Invitational, Nike Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities Program (RBI), States Play Invitational and the HBCU Swingman Classic Presented by T-Mobile & Powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation.

In addition to the Draft prospects, 2025 Hall of Fame inductee and Special Advisor to Commissioner Manfred CC Sabathia, two-time All-Star Michael Bourn, former Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates hitting coach Rick Eckstein, two-time All-Star and 2003 World Series Champion Brad Penny, former Baltimore Orioles manager Dave Trembley, as well as former Major Leaguers Bruce Chen, Courtney Duncan, Jeff Manto and Jeff Reboulet will all be on-field to offer instruction.

In total, 180 collegiate prospects are set to attend the event, however, 16 of them are heading to Omaha to compete in the Men’s College World Series. Arizona outfielder Brendan Summerhill (No. 19) and shortstop Mason White (No. 138), Coastal Carolina catcher Caden Bodine (No. 38), Arkansas pitchers Zachary Root (No. 43) and Gage Wood (No. 50) and outfielder Charles Davalan (No. 55), LSU righty Anthony Eyanson (No. 66) and second baseman Daniel Dickinson (No. 72), and Oregon State outfielder Gavin Turley (No. 78) headline that group, which will have the opportunity to attend a similar supplemental event if they can’t attend the Combine.

Notable high school prospects among the 142 expected to take part include California prep righty Seth Hernandez (No. 2) and shortstop Billy Carlson (No. 7), Mississippi prep shortstop JoJo Parker (No. 10) and Texas high school shortstop Kayson Cunningham (No. 11).

Seven of the top 10 high school prospects will be participating in the Combine.

Prospects in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in a series of on-field, medical and performance assessments as well as educational programming designed to prepare them for careers in professional baseball. All players will have the opportunity to participate in a pro-style showcase workout, as well as strength and performance assessments. A total of 55 former Draft combine participants have gone on to make their Major League debut.

For the fifth consecutive year, MLB Network will have exclusive coverage live from Phoenix. Beginning at 12 p.m. ET on June 17, there will be a complete broadcast of the event and breakdowns from MLB Network personalities and analysts, including Greg Amsinger, Alex Avila, Lance Brozdowski, Jared Carrabis, Jim Callis, Al Leiter, Mike Lowell, Dan O'Dowd, Harold Reynolds, and Buck Showalter. The six hours of coverage on Tuesday will also stream on MLB.com, MLB.TV and in the MLB App.

That same day at 6 p.m. local time, the Combine High School Game will take place, giving high school Draft prospects the opportunity to show their talent against the nation's best.
