Scooby-Doo, where are you!

Well, these days, television’s lovable Great Dane is busy notching walk-off hits on the diamond.

On Saturday, two Minor League teams held a Scooby-Doo Night, donning special Scooby-Doo-themed jerseys in honor of the famed animated cartoon series. And by the end of each game, both teams had their opponent walking off the field saying “ruh-roh, Raggy!”

First, the Memphis Redbirds walked-off the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on an RBI double from Matt Koperniak, erasing a late-game deficit. Then, the Mystery Machine hit the road to Florida, where the St. Lucie Mets were holding their own Scooby-Doo Night. Sure enough, the Mets downed the Tampa Tarpons on a walk-off knock from A.J. Ewing in the 12th inning.

Each game ended in a celebration, as players ran around the field clad in their blue, green and orange Scooby-Doo uniforms. No word on if anyone ran faster than everyone’s favorite Great Dane.

Saturday's heroics made for yet another good day at the ballpark for Scooby-Doo and the gang: Last summer, Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson used a custom Scooby-Doo bat in the Home Run Derby.
